Every Rodent Shield installation is warranted for a full year from the date of installation, covering defects or issues that arise from the installation itself.
Rodent damage? We inspect it
If rodents damage your vehicle's wiring within the warranty period and our inspection finds the cause is installation-related, we replace the damaged wiring at our cost.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Installation Warranty – 1 Year
Rodent Shield provides a 1-year installation warranty from the date of installation. The warranty covers defects or issues arising directly from improper installation by the Rodent Shield installation team.

Rodent Damage During Warranty Period
If rodent damage to the vehicle wiring occurs within the warranty period and it is determined that the damage is attributable to an installation-related issue, Rodent Shield will inspect the vehicle and, where applicable, replace the damaged wiring at our cost.

Product Durability – Up to 5 Years
The Rodent Shield material is designed for up to 5 years of durability under normal operating conditions. This durability period refers to the expected service life and performance of the material and does not constitute a 5-year replacement warranty.

Heat & Environmental Exposure
The product is installed in areas exposed to engine heat, temperature variations, moisture, dust and other environmental conditions. Continuous heat exposure over an extended period can gradually affect the physical properties of any polymer material. The 5-year durability specification is therefore subject to normal vehicle operating and environmental conditions.

Warranty Inspection
Any warranty claim will be subject to physical inspection by the Rodent Shield team. The cause of the damage will be assessed before the warranty is approved.

Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Accidents, physical impact or external damage.
- Modifications or repairs carried out by third parties.
- Tampering, removal or alteration of the Rodent Shield installation.
- Abnormal vehicle usage or operating conditions.
- Damage unrelated to the Rodent Shield installation.
- Normal wear and tear or deterioration due to ageing and environmental exposure.

Warranty Period
The 1-year installation warranty starts from the original date of installation and is not extended due to subsequent inspections or repairs.

Durability vs. Warranty
The 1-year installation warranty and 5-year durability are separate provisions. The 1-year warranty covers installation-related issues, while the 5-year durability represents the expected service life of the Rodent Shield material under normal operating conditions.

Final Assessment
Rodent Shield reserves the right to determine the applicability of warranty coverage based on inspection and assessment of the installation and cause of damage.
